Fuji Speedway is a circuit located in Oyama-cho, Sunto-gun, Shizuoka Prefecture. Fuji Speedway is one of the top circuits in the world, hosting world championship-style races such as the FIA World Endurance Championship, international racing series such as Blancpain GT Asia and the Asian Le Mans Series, and domestic top category races such as Super Formula, SUPER GT, All Japan F3 Championship, and Super Taikyu.
2018 year, as an alternative endurance race to the Suzuka 1000km, the distance was changed from 300 km to 500 miles, and the Fuji GT 500 mile Race was revived for the first time in 26 years.

Yoshihide Muroya, the first Asian to participate in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship and the overall winner of the year in 2017, was giving a flight performance before the final race.
I well remember his breathtaking performance with the Lexus vehicle on the main straight.
I was very excited because it was an event that I don’t get to see very often.

On the home straight, very fast racing cars are using the slipstream to pass each other.
As a racing enthusiast, I can enjoy the tense developments and feel the day is very short.

There are also cars with Japanese anime characters painted on them, called “pain cars. If you see a car with your favorite character painted on it, it makes you want to support it.

The very long 500-mile race offers dramatic battles at various locations of Fuji Speedway.
I hope that people all over the world will be able to see Japan’s premier race (SUPER GT), which is second to none compared to various races around the world.
If you have a chance, please come and see the real battle.
