The Japan Camper Show is one of Asia’s largest outdoor and leisure events, gathering more than 300 of the latest and most popular campervans from all over Japan.
Various types of campervans are on display, ranging from reasonably priced vehicles to luxurious and gorgeous vehicles priced over 20 million yen, depending on the purpose of use.
In addition to enjoying the vehicle exhibits, visitors will also find new concept zones for a variety of genres derived from campervans.
The event is not limited to campervans, but also includes “travel,” “pets,” “dining,” “disaster prevention,” “outdoor,” “entertainment,” and more.

There were many different vehicles on display, but the most common was the Toyota Hiace. The Toyota Hiace was by far the most common vehicle used as a base vehicle for campers.
I thought that Toyota’s brand image and trustworthiness are widely spread in the camper industry.
However, even within the same Toyota Hiace, there were so many different modifications that it was hard to believe we were looking at the same vehicle, each camper had its own personality.

I was not very familiar with campers and thought that the interiors would be basically the same, just in different positions, but when I actually saw them, I realized that each camper is a completely different vehicle, even though they are all lumped under the same category of camper.
Each vehicle has its own concept, and no matter what kind of use you want to make of it, what purpose you want to use it for, who you want to ride it with, where you want to go, or what your needs are, you will find the vehicle that you are looking for. No two cars were the same.

And this time I was very interested in the light car camper. In Japan, there is a category of mini-cars, which are smaller in size than regular cars.
The car itself is quite small compared to a Hiace, but there were many light car campers on display at various booths.
Solo camping is now popular in Japan, and the number of people who want to travel alone is increasing.
I think the number of light car campers is increasing because there are people who want to buy a camper but think that a Hiace is too big for one person.
In fact, when I visited the site, I found that even though it was small, the interior was built to allow people to live without any inconvenience, and there was even a space that made me feel comfortable. I think the number of people who want one will continue to increase.

Japanese anime culture extended to the camper industry as well.
There was a car on display that depicted an anime in which girls were camping.
There are many interesting Japanese anime, so if you are interested in them, you may not be able to stop looking at them.

There were so many different cars, anyone interested should come visit me in Japan! We are waiting for you!
